Single-Strap Rifle Slip

The SL-E899 single-strap rifle slip is a soft padded gun case measuring 122 × 26 cm (48 × 10–11 in) and weighing approximately 0.85 kg. It is built from 600D polyester Oxford with a water-resistant finish over 10–15 mm foam padding and a soft polyester lining, closed by a full-length coil zipper, with one zippered front pocket and a tapered rifle-and-shotgun profile. Carry is by a single adjustable removable shoulder strap with a reinforced webbing handle. Available in sand, army green, camouflage, and black. Sealock is a gun bag OEM and ODM manufacturer; MOQ 300 pcs, samples in 7–10 days, production in 30–45 days.

The case carries one firearm — a rifle or shotgun up to approximately 46 in overall — in a tapered body cut wider at the buttstock and narrower toward the muzzle. Strap width is specified between 38 mm and 75 mm depending on the programme, and anchor spacing is set so the 122 cm body hangs parallel to the back rather than nose-down. Both the strap and the padding thickness are OEM variables rather than fixed features.

Strap Specification and Contact Pressure

Carried load is approximately 4.85 kg — the 0.85 kg case plus a 4 kg firearm — borne on one shoulder. Strap width determines the contact area over which that load is spread.

Strap Specification Load Carried Contact Area Contact Pressure
38 mm webbing, unpadded 4.85 kg approx. 95 cm² 0.051 kg/cm²
50 mm padded 4.85 kg approx. 125 cm² 0.039 kg/cm²
75 mm padded 4.85 kg approx. 188 cm² 0.026 kg/cm²
Twin harness, for reference 2.42 kg per shoulder approx. 125 cm² each 0.019 kg/cm²

Widening the strap from 38 mm webbing to 75 mm padded halves contact pressure at the same load and adds approximately 35 g to the finished weight. Padding is specified above 50 mm width; below that the webbing is supplied unpadded.

Strap Geometry Variables

Variable Specification Range What It Controls
Strap width 38 mm / 50 mm / 75 mm Contact pressure on the shoulder
Padding Fitted above 50 mm width Pressure distribution across the contact area
Anchor spacing Set against the 122 cm body length Hang angle; prevents nose-down rotation
Adjustment range Standard or extended Carry height over layered clothing
Hardware POM slider and buckle Length retention under sustained load
Removability Removable as standard; fixed on request Whether the case stores flat

Anchor spacing is confirmed at sampling. Anchors set too close together allow the body to hang nose-down and swing during carry; correctly spaced, the case hangs parallel and holds position.

Case Construction

Layer Material Specification
Outer 600D polyester Oxford Water-resistant finish
Middle Foam padding 10–15 mm
Inner Soft polyester lining Quilted
Edges Bound Heavy-duty stitched construction
Closure Full-length coil zipper Opens the body flat
Pocket 1 zippered front pocket Tools, cleaning kit, small gear

Carry Configurations

Configuration Load per Shoulder Removal Motion Typical Application
Single strap 4.85 kg One motion, over the head Frequent short transitions; seated positions
Reinforced handle Two-handed or one-handed lift Direct lift Loading, vehicle to stand
Twin harness (optional) 2.42 kg Two arms, sequential Extended walked distance

The twin harness upgrade fits the same anchor positions, so a programme can run both configurations from one case body without new tooling.

Shoulder Transfer

Single-shoulder carry loads one side at 4.85 kg. The strap is lifted over the head and settled on the opposite shoulder without removing the case, and the adjuster holds its setting through the transfer.

1. Grip the strap webbing at chest height with the opposite hand

2. Lift the strap over the head while the case rotates behind

3. Settle the strap onto the other shoulder and release

4. Adjust length if the two shoulders sit at different heights under clothing

Application Limits

Specification note:single-strap carry places the full 4.85 kg on one shoulder. For extended walked distance, steep terrain, or applications requiring both hands free, specify the twin-harness configuration. The case is water-resistant with a stitched construction and standard coil zipper; it is not immersion rated. Programmes requiring an immersion rating should use the welded TPU range.

Buyer Questions

1. What are Single-Strap Rifle Slip dimensions and weight?

122 × 26 cm (48 × 10–11 in), approximately 0.85 kg. It takes one rifle or shotgun up to approximately 46 in overall in a tapered body.

2. What strap widths are available?

38 mm, 50 mm, and 75 mm. Padding is fitted above 50 mm width. At 4.85 kg carried load, contact pressure runs 0.051 kg/cm² on 38 mm webbing against 0.026 kg/cm² on 75 mm padded.

3. How much load does one shoulder carry?

Approximately 4.85 kg — the 0.85 kg case plus a 4 kg firearm. A twin harness divides this into 2.42 kg per shoulder.

4. Why does anchor spacing matter?

It sets the hang angle of the 122 cm body. Anchors too close together allow nose-down hang and swing during carry. Spacing is confirmed at sampling and is an OEM variable.

5. Can the shoulder be switched without removing the case?

Yes. The strap is lifted over the head and settled on the opposite shoulder while the case rotates behind. The POM adjuster holds its setting through the transfer.

6. When should a twin harness be specified instead?

For extended walked distance, steep terrain, and applications requiring both hands free. The harness fits the same anchor positions, so both configurations run from one case body.

7. Can a harness be offered as a separate accessory?

Yes. Anchor positions can be specified to accept an optional harness sold separately, allowing one case SKU to serve both carry preferences.

8. Is the strap removable?

Removable as standard, which allows the case to store flat. A fixed strap is available on request.

9. Will the adjuster slip under load?

No. The POM adjuster is tested to hold its setting under sustained load, and length remains adjustable while the case is worn.

10. Can the strap be lengthened for winter clothing?

Yes. An extended adjustment range is available and is commonly specified for cold-weather markets so the case clears bulky layers.

11. Is Single-Strap Rifle Slip waterproof?

No. The 600D Oxford outer carries a water-resistant finish for rain and spray during normal carry. The construction is stitched with a standard coil zipper and is not immersion rated.

12. What are the commercial terms?

MOQ 300 pcs, samples in 7–10 days, production in 30–45 days, quoted EXW, FOB, or CIF. Development covers strap width, anchor spacing, adjustment range, hardware, length, padding, colourway, branding, and packaging.
