Floating Shotgun Cases are RF welded long-gun cases in 840D TPU laminated fabric, rated IPX7 for immersion to 1 m for 30 minutes. Roll-top models float when sealed with a retained air pocket. The SL-E302 is a 130 × 25 cm cylindrical tube, 60 L usable, approx. 1.35 kg. The SL-P857 is a tapered roll-top slip, 155 cm unrolled and 137 cm sealed, 26 cm to 10 cm high and 2 cm wide, approx. 0.95 kg. The group also includes the SL-E603 sealed-zipper case at 122 × 30 × 8 cm, which is IPX7 but not buoyant.
Floating Shotgun Cases sit within the wider Waterproof Floating Hunting Bags range and are welded at Sealock's facilities in Dongguan, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. MOQ 300 pcs, samples 7–10 days, production 30–45 days.
One litre of displaced fresh water supports one kilogram. A 4 kg shotgun in the 1.35 kg SL-E302 is a 5.35 kg load. With a 20 L air pocket the sealed tube displaces up to about 22 kg, giving approx. 16.6 kg (163 N) of reserve buoyancy.
| Air retained (SL-E302) | Max. displacement | Submerged | Above waterline |
| 5 L | 7.0 kg | 76% | 24% |
| 10 L | 12.0 kg | 45% | 55% |
| 20 L | 22.0 kg | 24% | 76% |
| 40 L | 42.0 kg | 13% | 87% |
Load the shotgun through the full flattened opening
Leave an air pocket inside the case
Fold the mouth flat and roll it down three to four times
Clip the side-release buckles and check the roll is even across the width
Three folds is the minimum; two folds did not seal under immersion in comparison testing. On the 25 cm SL-E302 tube, three folds give approximately 590 cm² of compressed sealing contact.
| Model | Size | Weight | Closure | Floats |
| SL-E302 | 130 × 25 cm, 60 L | approx. 1.35 kg | Roll-top | Yes |
| SL-P857 | 137 cm sealed, 2 cm wide | approx. 0.95 kg | Roll-top | Yes, low margin |
| SL-E603 | 122 × 30 × 8 cm | approx. 1.1 kg | Sealed zipper | No |
SL-E302 takes firearms up to 50 in (127 cm) overall at three folds. SL-P857 consumes 18 cm of length in the roll, so its recommended maximum is approx. 125–128 cm. Shorter shotguns are held by rolling additional folds.
High-visibility Pantone colourways and reflective printing are available for locating a case at the surface in moving water or low light. Welded webbing anchors accept a tether for river crossings.
