The SL-E899 has a 122 × 26 cm conical body that precisely fits the shape of the gun, resulting in less displacement during transportation. There is a 10–15 mm foam layer sandwiched between the outer Oxford fabric and the soft polyester lining. This foam layer absorbs bumps during daily handling. The foam is assembled in layers rather than loose insertion, so it will not shift or accumulate during use. Padded Shotgun Slip is water-resistant and can handle daily rain and splashes; the stitching structure is equipped with a standard coil zipper.

Structural detail
A hard case exists for air travel, freight, and stacked handling by people who do not know what is inside. It weighs 4–5 kg at this length and is slow to open.
A padded slip covers the far more frequent job at approximately 0.85 kg — roughly a fifth of the weight — with a full-length zip that opens in one motion. Against a plain unpadded sleeve, the foam layer absorbs the bumps that occur every time a gun is placed into a vehicle or rested against a blind wall.
| Layer | Material | Primary Function |
| Outer | 600D polyester Oxford with water-resistant finish | Resists abrasion and everyday outdoor wear |
| Cushion | Foam, 10–15 mm | Absorbs vibration and minor impacts in transport |
| Inner | Soft polyester lining | Reduces scratching on firearm surfaces |
| Reinforcement | Heavy-duty nylon webbing | Strengthens handle and strap stress points |
| Closure | Full-length coil zipper | Convenient loading and unloading |

Each batch of Oxford fabric, lining, foam, webbing, and zipper is checked before entering production — colour consistency, surface defects, foam thickness and density, webbing tensile strength, and zipper smoothness.
Fabrics are cut to digital patterns, which holds dimensions consistent across a large run and keeps sewing alignment clean.
The foam layer is positioned between outer fabric and lining so protection is uniform along the full length rather than concentrated at the middle.
Assembly runs on heavy-duty industrial machines, with bar-tack reinforcement at the carry handle, strap connections, zipper ends, muzzle tip, and hanging loop where pulling forces concentrate.
Strap installation, zipper inspection, logo check, shape adjustment, thread trimming, and interior cleaning before packing, so units leave retail-ready.
| Stage | What Is Checked | Frequency |
| Incoming | Fabric appearance, foam thickness, zipper function, webbing strength | Every batch |
| In-process | Stitch alignment and density, seam straightness, foam positioning, symmetry | Continuous |
| Final | Dimensions, full-length zipper operation, strap and handle pull, appearance | 100% or sampling by item |
| Evaluation | Method | Observation |
| Carry comfort | Loaded slip carried over gravel, woodland trail, and uneven ground | Balanced position; stable strap adjustment |
| Vehicle transport | Carried in pickup and SUV cargo areas over uneven roads | Tapered profile reduced movement against a rectangular bag |
| Abrasion | Rubbed against wooden platforms, cargo floors, benches, and bark | Structural integrity retained; minor cosmetic wear |
| Zipper operation | Repeated full-length open and close | Slider movement and tooth alignment retained |
| Strap durability | Fully loaded slip suspended for extended periods | No deformation, elongation, or stitch failure |
| Water-resistance | Surface spray and rain-carry simulation | Shed surface water; interior stayed dry |
Water-resistance evaluation is spray and rain-carry based. The Padded Shotgun Slip is stitched with a standard coil zipper and is not immersion tested or rated for submersion.

A distributor wanted a slip to complement a premium apparel collection, but its existing supplier offered thin padding and inconsistent stitching that undercut the brand. We moved padding to the upper end of the 10–15 mm range, matched a woodland camouflage to the apparel palette, and added a woven label with a retail carton. 800 pcs, 38 days, launched with the seasonal collection.
An economical slip was needed for chain stores without absorbing a unit cost increase. Rather than cutting padding, we optimised the sewing sequence to reduce labour time per unit and held the specification at the lower end of the padding range. 2,400 pcs, 45 days, landed cost held within the seasonal catalogue target.
A startup needed full private-label development from a concept brief rather than a catalogue item with a logo. Our team worked through rubber patch options, recommended a mid-weight padding specification for mixed hunting and range use, and developed packaging from the brand's design files. 500 pcs, 47 days including two development rounds.
“We upgraded the padding for our woodland camo run, and it held its shape through a full season of field demos without flattening at the fold points.”
— Product Manager, Hunting Apparel Brand, Germany
“Our dealers measured it against the hard cases they used to stock — it takes roughly a third of the shelf space, which mattered more to them than we expected.”
— Purchasing Manager, Hunting Equipment Distributor, Poland
“The woven label placement was confirmed in the first round, and the camouflage matched our existing range close enough that customers assumed it was made in-house.”
— Brand Owner, Hunting Accessories Company, Finland
“We shot full product photography straight off the sample batch — no stitching touch-ups, no colour correction needed.”
— Private Label Customer, Australia
“The carton marking matched our import paperwork exactly, which is not something we can say about every supplier we have used.”
— Importer, New Zealand
1. Is the Padded Shotgun Slip waterproof?
No. It is built from 600D Oxford with a water-resistant finish for everyday rain and spray. The construction is stitched with a standard coil zipper and is not designed for immersion. For fully waterproof requirements our welded TPU range is the correct product.
2. What padding thickness should we choose?
The standard 10–15 mm range suits most hunting and range use. Thinner suits entry-level volume programmes and thicker suits premium positioning; both are quoted per project, and thickness is one of the more effective levers for placing the same case across price tiers.
3. Can the slip be sized for different shotgun lengths?
Yes. Product length is a standard OEM customization. Confirm internal length against your longest barrel-and-stock combination during sampling so the fit stays snug rather than loose.
4. Does it fit over-and-under and side-by-side guns as well as pump and semi-auto?
Yes, all four plus hunting, sporting clay, and trap configurations. Flag unusually wide or long guns at sampling so we can confirm fit.
5. How is the foam kept from shifting over time?
It is assembled between the outer fabric and lining and held by the surrounding stitching and bar-tack reinforcement, rather than left as a loose insert that can migrate or bunch.
6. What separates this from a plain gun sleeve?
A sleeve is fabric protection against dust and light scratching. The slip adds a foam cushioning layer and a soft lining, and the difference shows the first time the case takes a knock rather than a scuff.
7. Can we match a custom camouflage to our existing line?
Yes. Pattern matching is standard, and we can work from your existing files or product photography to keep a new item visually consistent.
8. What branding options are available?
Screen printing, heat transfer, and embroidery, along with custom hang tags, colour cartons, and packaging inserts for a fully private-labelled product.
9. How long does sample development take?
Typically 7–10 days depending on material availability and customization complexity, with revision rounds adding time according to how many changes are requested.
10. How should the slip be cared for between seasons?
Clean and dry the firearm before storing it inside, wipe the Oxford exterior clean of mud or dust, and keep the slip dry and out of direct sunlight rather than storing it soiled.
11. What is the minimum order quantity?
300 pcs for a standard colourway with a logo. Full structural or material changes are quoted separately with the project specification.
12. What are the commercial terms?
MOQ 300 pcs, samples in 7–10 days, production in 30–45 days, quoted EXW, FOB, or CIF, with private-label development covering padding, colour, camouflage, branding, length, and packaging.
